School in Exile

This publication was developed during a residency at Decolonizing Architecture Art Research. The booklet collects tells about the Shufat School project and its programmatic outline. Developed by DAAR for UNRWA Camp Improvement Programme, with the collaboration of Campus in Camps for the outdoors spaces, the girls’ school in Shufat refugee camp produced, for the first time, a site-specific ad hoc design and not a pre-conceived and fixed architectural scheme.
